Why choose Fresha as the caterer for lunches at your Children’s Nursery?

What children eat and what they learn about food, impacts upon their health, on their education, their behaviour and on the environment and economy. Huge benefits accrue from investing in children’s diets from an early stage. The short-term dividends we reap include happier and healthier children ready to learn and able to play a positive role in their nursery and home community.

What our children eat and importantly their understanding of how it arrives on their plate and the impact it has on their health are an important part of this.

  • By providing our expertise in quality, local and sustainable supply chain management, seasonal menu planning and food trends, training, compliance and industry innovation, we will partner with the nursery to ensure we deliver cost-effective meals.

We develop a working partnership and effective communication from day one….

During the first two weeks of the contract, we will visit the nursery or group of nurseries to observe, listen and understand their practices and culture. We recognize that successful nursery food provision and creating the best dining and learning experiences depend on building the confidence, knowledge and skills of the staff. We will partner with the nursery to achieve this and always ensure we maintain a reliable two-way communication.

Our observations will allow us to tailor recommendations for training and support, helping each nursery improve their processes and adapt to the new menus. We understand that skill levels may vary and we will develop a training approach that is tailored to the needs of each team.

We encourage engagement with parents

  • Fresha has a QR code on the menus, that enable parents to share their feedback (discussed with their children) directly with our office, without needing to provide their contact data, avoiding any GDPR concerns. This can then be shared with the Nursery Manager to make any required adjustments or improvements. Positive feedback and responses via the QR code can also be used to celebrate good performance and feedback.
  • Parent engagement with the nursery catering service can be increased by the issue of quarterly newsletters from Fresha.
